Complex

by Melanie Levi

Complex.
Complex, like a thousand prisms,
light shining and twisting myriad rainbows,
bursting forth as if breaking into song.
Shattering glass.
Complex, like a tiny fragile wing,
like a beating heart, staccato and faint,
echoing souls and goddesses, eternal.
Complex, like an atom of fear,
like running away from love,
like loving the rush of feeling Adrenaline in every cell.
Complex, like life,
like love.
Complex.
like me,
like my heart.
